The dreaded "felt" is creeping up. Proof that I am writing stuff down as fast as I can rather than thinking up the best way to say things.
More than anything, I'm just excited I made the weekly goal and got up to 35,000 words! It was a rough week without much writing time and I still managed to pull it off. I guess that means I have no excuses in the future now. I'm finally on the downward slide to the end. Just 15,000 words to go and I know my ending will take up at least 5,000 of those. So exciting! I think I'm going to win NaNo!

Glad that it's not just me who overuses "felt"! (I'm also apparently very fond of "turned". Characters are always turning every which way.)

Awesome. I've only just recently heard about NaNoWriMo so it's on my today list. Seems scary hard though but I guess it's doable if you commit. Good luck!
Sam - thanks! Yeah, I have a lot of turning but even more "looked" because it goes both ways. Characters look at something and then other characters (or things) look like something. So bad.
Chanel - this is my first NaNo and it was scary but it's turning out to be easier than I thought. Can't say I'm creating a masterpiece but I am getting a good lump of clay ready for sculpting!
