Friday Five

This week turned out to be a surprisingly good week for me!

I entered Nathan Bransford's Guest Post Contest and my post was selected! I will be guest posting on Nathan's blog this Sunday, October 10th at 10am PT in case, you know, you want to stop by and check it out. Just sayin'!

I finally got into a groove with my current revision. I'm back at that place where I feel like I'm creating again instead of just moving words around. I love that feeling! (Although, I'm thinking of renaming my ms EVERYBODY SHRUGS because that's what everybody does in it. All the time.)

I got a Shiny New Idea for NaNoWriMo! Be my buddy! (I can't believe it's less than a month away!)

I posted the opening for our new story on Tangeld Fiction.

Today is the first day of my local SCBWI's weekend long Fall Conference! A whole weekend with people who don't think it's weird to write and read books for teens. Love it!

What about you? Anything awesome happen for you this week?

You've got to love it when people get why you read YA. :D

Congrats on being selected to guest post on Nathan's blog. I'll try to remember to check it out.

You can't call your book EVERYBODY SHRUGS because I'm calling mine EVERYONE SHRUGS. It might be too confusing, especially if they're both YA. But then again, I could always rename mine EVERYONE ROLLS THEIR EYES. ;)

Good luck with NaNo. I'm not doing it this year (never have). This weekend I'm getting back to the first draft of my new wip. I had to take a break from it last week to finish revisions on my last project and start querying it. *rushes off to find chocolate*

Thanks IS a great week! Still toying with entering Nano this year...not sure!

Ahh, I should rename my ms Everybody Shrugs, too. Although, now that I'm thinking about it, Everyone Grins would be more fitting.

Yay for NaNo! I'm getting excited about this year, although I haven't even started planning yet! Also, I didn't know you were in Lansing! Are you planning on stopping by any of the write-ins for NaNo?

LOL! Who knew shrugging was so popular!

Christine - you should definitely do NaNo! So freeing and fun!

Meika - I'm actually about an hour from Lansing, it's just my closest NaNo area. I'm not sure if I'll get to any of the write-ins. It will probably depend on the weather and things. But hi to a fellow Michigander!

Rats! Stina took EVERYONE ROLLS THEIR EYES. I guess that leaves me with EVERYONE LAUGHS.

Congrats on the guest post! I look forward to reading it with my coffee Sunday.

Well then, I'm claiming Everyone Breathes. Congrats on your groove - and on your SNI (they're much more fun than editing!).

I just read your guest post and it's clear why you were chosen! What great advice! And because, I'm currently doing my own revisions, my new title is, Everyone Raise an Eyebrow.
