OMG! I won Secret Agent!

So, I'm kind of stunned right now. I just found out my entry was one of the winners in Miss Snark's First Victim's Secret Agent Contest!

You can read my entry here

This month's agent is Jennifer Laughran from the Andrea Brown Literary Agency and her prizes are so generous and so amazing! She chose ten winners!

What an awesome way to start the week!

I just read that entry and it is fabulous. And despite a genre bursting at the seams this seems fresh and intriguing. You had me from the first line to the last. I would read this book without question. You deserved to be picked. I wish you tons of good fortune going forward.

Congratulations Valerie, I thought your entry was terrific - very short but you said a lot with such few words. The scene was powerful and I can guarantee that most people would want to continue reading!! How long did it take for you to come up with this? Is it part of a larger story? Have you been signed now?

Candyland - I told you! LOL

Lynsey - Thanks so much! The entry is the first 250 words of my novel Imaginary Heart. I'm not sure how long it took me to come up with the idea. I just sort of had it one day and I wrote the first draft of the book during NaNoWriMo, so it took me about a month. Haven't been signed yet. That's the next goal!

Yea - I picked yours as my favorite without knowing it was you. (I'm way jealous, because I'm one that entered, got no confirmation or rejection, and have no idea why it didn't work.) I'm a teacher and one of my favorite students is Raine. My heart breaks a little everytime some says "Raine, Raine, go away, come again another day." Stupid bullies.
